[Uppsala] 재활용 – Recycling

기숙사 근처에(걸어서 30분) ICA 라는 대형 슈퍼마켓 체인이 하나 있다. 그 옆에 보면 조그마한 재활용 센터가 있는데 깡통이나 유리병, 페트병 등을 기계에 넣으면 돈으로 주는 좋은 곳이다. 사람들이 그렇게 해서 돈을 받아가는 것을 보았다. 마침 그 앞 피자집에서 피자를 먹고는 콜라 캔이 두 개 생겼으니 어찌 안 가 보고 배기겠는가. 기계에는 초록색 버튼과 노란색 버튼, 그리고 깡통을 집어 넣는 구멍이 있었다. 초록색 버튼이 시작 버튼이려니 하고 누르니 화면에 0 kr가 뜬다. 아하. 그리고 구멍에 깡통을 넣으니 쑤욱 빨려 들어간다. 찌그러지는 소리 들리고 0.5 kr가 표시된다. 좋아 좋아. 냉큼 다음 깡통도 넣으니 1 kr가 표시된다. 이거 좋구려. 순식간에 130원 번 셈이다. 이제 돈을 받기 위해 노란 색 버튼을 누르니 돈은 나오지 않고 무슨 영수증이 나온다. 스웨덴어로 적혀 있으니 당연히 읽을 수는 없고 1 kr 적힌 것을 보니 아마 슈퍼에 갖다 주면 돈으로 바꿔주는가보다. 당당하게 슈퍼에 갖고 가서 돈 내 놓으라 했더니 점원이, “좋은 일 하셨네요. 적십자에 기부하셨습니다.”란다.

… 아악!! 난 군대에서 헌혈도 안 한 사람이란 말이다!! 피대신 돈 줬네.

There is an ICA(Big supermarket chain in SWEDEN) near(30 min by walk) my dormitory. And beside that, there is a small recycling center which exchanges can, bottle or pet to money. It’s very kind. I saw some people insert some those items and get money back. At that time, I ate pizza in front of that recycling center and I got 2 coke cans. WOW! Not going there is a sin. On machine, there is green button and yellow button and a hole to insert items. I thought green button is start button, so pressed green. Then display says ‘0 kr’. Aha, nice! And I pushed can to hole, display says ‘0.5 kr’. Oh, and I pushed another can, and display says ‘1 kr’. Good!! And then, I pressed yellow button to get money back. But the machine gave me a receipt instead of money. In that receipt there was only Swedish but I could find ‘1 kr’ written on that. I thought, ‘Ah… maybe supermarket will exchange this to money!!’ I want to ICA and gave it to the shop assistant. Then she said, “You did very well. You donated 1 kr to red cross!!”.

…..What? I haven’t donate blood even though I was at army like Scrooge!! They took Money instead of blood from me.
