It was really hard to go from Napoli to Firenze. We decided to take a night train to save money, the schedule was vague and even we had to change the train in the middle. And taking the day train is much worse because then we have to stay in Napoli one more night.

I : Then, let’s go Bologna first. There are many trains go there and from Bologna, it takes only one hour to Firenze.
R : Bologna? Is it famous?
I : Oh, you don’t know the Bologna Spaghetti? It is really famous.
R : Oh? By the way, does the train from Bologna to Firenze goes frequently?
I : Sure. Almost every hour.
R : OK. Then let’s go to Bologna first and if we have time, visit the Bologna University. Good!!

So we took the night train goes to Bologna. In fact I had an idea to stay in Bologna because it is much cheaper then Firenze, and visit Firenze from Bologna every day. Anyway, let’s go there first.

Train goes to Bologna made trouble from the first. We used a compartment for 6 people, the beds doesn’t work. We tried so hard, but it doesn’t. People in another room had already slept…… After the train departs, we could meet the train master and he used a secret key and made a bed. How!!!

And he wrote something on the back side of the ticket with alien characters. We asked what it was but he answered with alien language too.

Later, we met somebody who can speak English and asked. It meant “Quilts and pillows were not supported for this person. Please refund 5 euros.” I didn’t expect them, anyway it is nice thing to save money.

And that night, I have waken up for several times in uncomfortable 2nd compartment, found the train is stopped in some station. It was half past 5. The scheduled time was 5:57. Maybe the next station might be Bologna.

R : By the way, where is this? It seems that the train have stopped for so long time.
I : Maybe the next station might be Bologna. I have no idea about this station either.
R : Isn’t this Bologna?
I : No. You forgot this is Italia? Can it arrive 30 minutes before?

In fact, everybody is sleeping, there is no sign board outside, no broadcast, I was sure that this is not Bologna. We waited the train moves again eating the Tofu from Chinese supermarket. Meanwhile, the time passed 6 AM.

R : Strange. We were to arrive at 5:57. Why this train stops here and doesn’t move? Isn’t this Bologna?
I : We are in Italia now. They said every train in Italia is like so.

Several minutes after 6, the train started to move and we could see the timid signboard outside the window.
