이제 들어갈 수 있다는 것도 알았겠다, 벌써 두 번이나 실패했겠다. 오늘은 죽어도 성공하려고 아예 아침부터 베네치아 광장부터 가기로 했다. 숙소 앞에서 버스를 기다리는데, 어떤 할머니가 말을 거신다.
할머니 : ^@!*#%(!&@($@%^@!#^?
나 : 네? 뭐라고요?
할머니 : !(#*%)(*!@&$)!&@(#, !@ㅒ*&@!(#?
나 : 베네치아 광장요.
할머니 : &@!!*@#*@!(#. 저기, 저기. !*@%*()*#@).
나 : 아, 저기서 타야 된다고요?
할머니 : Si, Si. &%*#@!()*@#!$@.
이탈리아 사람들은 대개 영어를 잘 못한다. 하지만 참 친절하다. 물어보지도 않았는데 낯선 사람이 나타나면 이렇게 먼저 나서서 도와준다. 이런 사람 중에는 나쁜 사람도 참 많지만 이렇게 좋은 분도 많다. 이런 상황에서 어떻게 판단하고 대처하느냐에 따라 여행이 지루할 수도, 즐거울 수도, 딱딱할 수도, 위험할 수도 있으니 참 흥미롭다.
어쨌거나 우리는 친절한 할머니의 도움을 받아 옳은 버스를 타고 베네치아 광장에 정확하게 도착했고 어제 우리 앞을 가로막던 경찰 아저씨가 멋적게 쳐다보는 앞에서 당당하게 입장했다. 승리자 엠마누엘 2세 기념관으로.
들어가 보니 크긴 크다. 자연의 위대함 앞에 숙연해져 본 적은 있어도, 인간이 만든 건물 안에서 이렇게 위대함을 느껴 보기는 또 처음이다.
보름간의 여행 동안 보았던 건축물 중에 가장 위대했던 건축물이 무엇이냐고 묻는다면 나는 주저 없이 승리자 엠마누엘 2세 기념관을 꼽겠다. 오죽 위대했으면 우리를 세 번이나 오도록 만들었겠나._M#]

Now we know it is ok to enter, and we failed twice already. We planed to visit Piazza Venezia first to succeed perfectly. When we were waiting for bus in front of the hotel, some old woman said to us.
Old woman : ^@!*#%(!&@($@%^@!#^?
I : What? What are you talking about?
Old woman : !(#*%)(*!@&$)!&@(#, !@ㅒ*&@!(#?
I : Piazza Venezia.
Old woman : &@!!*@#*@!(#. there, there. !*@%*()*#@).
I : Ah, we have to take bus there? Not here?
Old woman : Si, Si. &%*#@!()*@#!$@.
Normally, Italian people cannot speak English well, but really kind. They come to the strangers first even the strangers didn’t ask help before. There are many bad people among them but there are also many nice people like this case. It is really interesting that how to deal with this situation makes travel boring, funny, strict or dangerous.
Anyway, we rode a right bus thanks to that kind old woman, and arrived Piazza Venezia exactly, and entered with proud in front of the policeman who blocked us to visit yesterday. To the Manumento Vittorio Emanuele II.
It is really large inside. I have felt destiny in front of the grand nature, but I have never felt like this in front of human-made building.
If somebody asked me that what was the greatest building among the buildings I have ever seen during the 15 days travel, I will answer that it is Manumento Vittorio Emanuele II without hesitating. How dare it made us to visit it three times?_M#]
